THE FOUNDER
Carolina Mejia
I’m Carolina Mejia, founder and creative director of CaroLyra Aerial Arts, a San Diego-based aerial entertainment company created from my love of aerial arts, creativity, and unforgettable live experiences.
CaroLyra began with founder Carolina Mejia’s love of creativity and live performance. After discovering aerial arts while earning her yoga teacher certification, Carolina fell in love with the craft and eventually turned that passion into creating memorable entertainment experiences.
Long before aerial, creativity was always part of her life—from painting and crocheting to making clothing and experimenting with different creative businesses. Today, those interests come together through CaroLyra.

For Carolina, the most exciting part of an event is bringing an idea to life. CaroLyra creates entertainment around each client’s vision rather than expecting every event to fit into the same package.
That creativity extends into themed concepts, specialty accessories, costumes and custom performance details. Carolina is continuing her education in professional sewing with the goal of creating even more original CaroLyra costumes and specialty looks in-house.

What began with aerial performance has grown into a full entertainment company offering aerialists, aerial champagne service, fire performers, roaming entertainers, ambient entertainment and specialty acts.
From an intimate performance to a larger production with multiple artists, each experience can be customized around the event, venue, theme and atmosphere.
